Module Description

This modules is designed to provide delegates with a comprehensive overview of being an Entrepreneur.   It shows important investment and business decisions that should be taken and how the business challenges should be tackled by the Entrepreneur

Entry Requirements

Students should be at least 18 years+ and in possession of a minimum MQF Level 4 Qualification (Matriculation Certificate)

AND / OR

An equivalent qualification such as MQF Level 4 in Business Management, HR Management, Facilities Management or similar.

Audience

This course is targeted at:

  1. individuals aspiring to work as a business managers
  2. individuals who wish to advance their education and gain in depth basic knowledge and skills related to business management.
  3. individuals already working in the field related to business management and would like to obtain qualification in this sector.

Learning Outcomes

At the end of the module/unit the learner will have acquired the responsibility and autonomy to:

  1. Be capable of analyzing different businesses.
  2. Select appropriate board members for the specific business.
  3. Make the right business proposals with the right mindset for the board;
  4. Monitor and ensure to direct the business correctly
  5. Be capable of listening and communicate diligently with the board
  6. Choose the right decisions at board level

At the end of the module/unit the learner will have acquired the following skills:

  1. Identify and analyze different businesses.
  2. Capable in board mix formation
  3. Capable in growth management
  4. Identify economic indicators for scaling or steering the business into the right economic environment,
  5. Capable of utilizing correct leadership skills
  6. Evaluation and analysis of business reports
  7. Capable of taking suitable business decisions
  8. Choosing the correct business strategy.

Assessment

This module shall be assessed by way of an assignment, not exceeding 4000 words. Learners must obtain a minimum of 50% of the total mark in order to successfully pass from the module. In the case that learners do not pass on the first try, learners can re-sit the examination. In the case of recurring failure, learners shall be asked to re-do the module.
