Module Description

This module aims to help managers into building a solid marketing plan, have the correct research tools, build informed decisions for building and maintaining the business and implement correct strategic decisions.  The manager will also be equipped with monitoring processes required in validating the marketing plan according to changes.

Entry Requirements

Students should be at least 18 years+ and in possession of a minimum MQF Level 4 Qualification (Matriculation Certificate)

AND / OR

An equivalent qualification such as MQF Level 4 in Business Management, HR Management, Facilities Management or similar.

Audience

This course is targeted at:

  1. individuals aspiring to work as a business or marketing managers.
  2. individuals who wish to advance their education and gain in depth basic knowledge and skills related to business management and marketing.
  3. individuals already working in the field related to business or marketing management and would like to obtain qualification in this sector.

Learning Outcomes

At the end of the module/unit the learner will have acquired the responsibility and autonomy to:

  1. Understands different Marketing research methodologies
  2. Apply research findings into marketing analysis
  3. Conduct a sector specific marketing plan
  4. Understanding the use of the marketing mix
  5. Conduct sector specific SWOT analysis
  6. Evaluate the correct strategic options

Apply the correct monitoring skills. At the end of the module/unit the learner will have acquired the following skills:

  1. Conduct a thorough sector specific Market Research.
  2. Utilise the research findings into analysis.
  3. Capable of understanding the use of a marketing plan.
  4. Utilise the Marketing Mix within the business plan to analyse business decisions
  5. Act in a timely manner on the SWOT analysis
  6. Effectively monitoring the plan for adequate business decisions

Assessment

This module shall be assessed by examination and presentation. Learners must obtain a minimum of 50% of the total mark to successfully pass from the module. In the case that learners do not pass on the first try, learners can re-sit the examination. In the case of recurring failure, learners shall be asked to re-do the module.
