Module Description

There is a clear correlation between using performance management plans and positive organizational and business outcomes. This module intends to bring consistency in applying performance management within a business. This module aim to equip managers and team leaders with the relevant knowledge and skills required to recognize their role and contribution to effectively manage performance at work.

Entry Requirements

Students should be at least 18 years+ and in possession of a minimum MQF Level 4 Qualification in Facilities Management or related
OR
Level 4 – Diploma in Facilities Management
AND
Be in possession of one of the following:
(a) Grade 5 in English (Matsec Certificate)
(b) IELTs 6.0
(c) Or an equivalent qualification.

Audience

This course is targeted at:

  • individuals aspiring to work as a facility manager, operation managers or human resources manager.
  • individuals who wish to advance their education and gain in depth knowledge and skills related to facilities or human resources management.
  • individuals already working in the field related to facilities or human resources management and would like to obtain qualification in this sector. 

Learning Outcomes

At the end of the module/unit the learner will have acquired the responsibility and autonomy to:

  • Define and develop employees goals which align to the strategic objectives of the organization
  • Provide constructive feedback to promote personal improvement and positive momentum within the work environment
  • Lead an acknowledged and motivated team
  • Identify and manage early warning of poor performance

At the end of the module/unit the learner will have acquired the following skills:

  • Develop an understanding of the core principles and best practices for effective performance management
  • Plan a set of specific objectives for the year required to be achieved by employees as part if the overall startegy of the organization
  • Demonstrate the ability to objectively monitor, track and review performance of team members
  • Help employees grow and develop by providing on-going feedback and challenges
  • Communicate more effectively and positively with team members

Assessment

This module shall be taught making use of synchronous teaching methods whereby participants will be engaged in learning at the same time. Students will be exposed to lectures, intellectual discussions, practical scenarios, and demonstrations.
