Module Description

This module will equip learner with different real estate business models, research methodologies for preparing a marketing plan, marketing techniques to be used in the Real Estate intermediation sector, converting market research into strategic planning and strategy execution methods.

Entry Requirements

Students should be in possession of a minimum School Leaving Certificate MQF Level 3

AND

License of real estate manager

AND/OR

Be in possession of one of the following:

(a) Secondary Education Certificate in English as issued by Matsec at grade 5 or higher.”

(b) Or IELTs 6.0

(c) Or an equivalent qualification.

Audience

Learning Outcomes

At the end of the module/unit the learner will have acquired the responsibility and autonomy to:

  1. Identify various business management styles research methodologies.
  2. Define a business model for the operation of a Real Estate Intermediation business.
  3. Identify key research tools required in conducting a business and marketing plan.
  4. Gain access to report data required.
  5. Capable of preparing a business and marketing plan.
  6. Able to execute both the business and marketing plans.
  7. Understand strategy plan out of the findings.
  8. Capable of executing and deliver the strategy plan.

At the end of the module/unit the learner will have acquired the following skills:

  1. Capable to access different research data
  2. Capable of conducting a Business Plan and Marketing Plan for the operation of a Real Estate Intermediation Business
  3. Able to interpret finding from the report.
  4. Identify timeframes required in updating such report.
  5. Capable to identify Macro and Microenvironment factors which will affect the business operation.
  6. Capable of converting the plans into strategy, compile a strategic plan.
  7. Execute and implement strategies for business management.

Assessment

This module shall be assessed by way of an assignment.  Learners must obtain a minimum of 50% of the total mark to successfully pass from the module. In the case that learners do not pass on the first try, learners can re-sit the examination. In the case of recurring failure, learners shall be asked to re-do the module.
